CONDOMINIUMS?

If you own or rent a  condominium unit( UNIT  NOT APARTMENT!) If you like, love, know in any way any one that does.If you live near a condominium or in any way care about them and their residents this blog is for you Please share this blog with friends, enemies, out laws , in laws, etc, ESPECIALLY WITH CONDOMINIUM PEOPLE!

I have ( CO OWNED  now own0 A condominium  UNIT for over 21 years I want to know the following and have all this to say.

I am making this addition of this paragraph TUESDAY OCTOBER 16 2012.I was talking with a man he his wife and family own a new business in  FOREST PARK. He has been in the construction trade he and his family for over 20 years.He made a statement that really made me think and I will add I totally agree with him. He stated an apartment that is converted to condominiums and or a structure that once had another purpose with some minor changed IS TO HIM A CONVERSION AND SHOULD ALWAYS BE CALLED A CONVERSION!  He FEELS  A TRUE CONDOMINIUM IS BUILT NEW FROM THE FOUNDATION UP! It never had a former life as SOMETHING ELSE I-E AN APARTMENT BUILDING. I TOTALLY AGREE.



WHY?!!!!!


DAG NAB IT !! WHY?  

We here a great deal about homes. We hear about the  HOME FOR CLOSURE RATE, ETC.WELL CONDOMINIUM OWNERS , WE ARE HOME OWNERS TOO! WE HAVE THE INCREASING PROPERTY TAX BILLS( NO THEY ARE NOT AS HIGH AS SINGLE FAMILY HOMES BUT TO US  CONDOMINIUM OWNERS THEY ARE DIFFICULT AND A TOTAL BITCH IN THESE HARD TIMES!!We have our  ASSESSMENTS, SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS OFTEN WE FEEL WE WILL LOSE OUR -SSES along with our homes due to these increasing mounting ONE AFTER ANOTHER FEES!  WHY IN THE MEDIA, FROM MANY REAL ESTATE PEOPLE WE NOT HERE MORE WRITTEN, SAID , ETC ABOUT THESE ISSUES?

OUR LOCAL PAPER HAS DONE I FEEL A GREAT JOB WRITING ABOUT AND EXPOSING THESE AND OTHER ISSUES INVOLVING CONDOMINIUMS/ TOWN HOMES, ETC.

I FEEL FOR THE  CO OPERATIVE OWNERS( CO OPS) THEY I FEEL HAVE IT WORSE THAN WE  CONDO PEOPLE. SELDOM DO WE HEAR ANY THING ABOUT CO OPERATIVE DEVELOPMENTS! ALL REAL ESTATE, THEIR OWNERS, ISSUES, NEED TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED , THEIR ISSUES , DISCUSSED AND EXPOSED!

 CONDOMINIUMS AND THEIR OWNERS HAVE  UNIQUE ISSUES, CONCERNS, NEEDS, PROBLEMS,SINGLE FAMILY, TWO FLAT, AND OTHER OWNERS DO AND OR MAY NOT.We have our association ( BOARD MEMBERS) A single family owners mostly do not.Yes some have community associations that is true, However, THE OWNER (S) of a single family home,Or two three flat, duplex, etc, THEY ARE THE DECISION MAKERS.


Condominiums can be and I feel often are like  LITTLE COMMUNITIES ( OR SAD TO SAY  ALL TO OFTEN I FEEL CLIQUES) with in a community.WE HAVE OUR  ,critics, bullies also!SECRET KEEPERS, WATER GATER'S IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN AND I AM SURE THAT YOU ALL DO!!!!! SILENCE ALL TO OFTEN IS CONSIDERED GOLDEN IN CONDOMINIUM BUILDING LIKE IN OUR GENERAL SOCIETY NOW.. 

 We have PROBLEMS WITH VACANT  condominium units. We have SQUATTERS just like SFH owners!  We have crime,Personal issues with residents,personal attacks( B S) tangible and en tangible issues too numerous to mention here.

We also have our hero's! Our people that  STAND UP! THAT ARE STRONG!  NOT BROWN NOSING, NOR BS-ING NOT TAKING SAME EITHER!We have plans, hopes dreams for our selves, and our property and OUR BUILDING.

TV, RADIO, THE OFFICE WATER COOLER, ETC( NOT JUST IN HALL WAYS NOR PILLOW TALK EITHER, Lets here more about  THE FORGOTTEN REAL ESTATE! THE FORGOTTEN PROPERTY OWNERS I FEEL,  CONDOMINIUMS AND CONDOMINIUM OWNERS!! NOW!!,PLEASE! IF YOU CARE ABOUT THIS SPREAD THE WORD ! THANK YOU.

LET ME SAY THIS FINAL COMMENT! WE DESPERATELY AS CONDOMINIUM OWNERS NEED TO REALISTICALLY LOOK AT THE GOOD, BAD, HAPPY AND UGLY ISSUES OF OUR BUILDINGS AND HOW THEY EFFECT US, OUR NEIGHBORS AND THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH WE LIVE. WE ALSO DESPERATELY NEED  ALTERNATIVES TO SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS , LOANS, HITTING UP OWNERS CONSTANTLY!! AND  EXCESSIVE  FEES THAT I FEEL AND HAVE SEEN DRIVE MANY OUT OF THEIR UNITS!
